suppliessolutions and from a reliable source which is authentic and
authoritative. Now, there are not many of them around. On Sunday, we came to the
only 'religious festival' observed in the New Testament. It was Pentecost.
Without a clear understanding of what actually happened, and what the
consequences were, much of the rest of the New Testament can remain a
mystery. Some say Pentecost does not fit their 'theology', but the writers of the
New Testament enjoyed the heat transfer
printingexperience long before they wrote about it. If you have bad
'theology', throw it away. Discard it. It was Pentecost that gave birth to the
Church of Jesus Christ, and got these waiting disciples on the move. Jesus
Christ, the Son of God, after His resurrection from the dead, and after His
ascension back to his heavenly Father, left His chosen and trained men with
nothing more than a promise. polyester
fabricHe told His men to wait in Jerusalem until they be endued with power.
We can read all the glorious and wonderful details in the first Chapter of the
book of Acts in the New Testament, but it is still not very much to leave with a
band of men who had given up everything to follow Him. What were they going
through? Was there a dilemma in their hearts? They waited. Yes, they waited, but
was it patient waiting or impatient waiting? We face this type of scenario
regularly. We have to wait but how do we wait? Titanium
SheetWere they in suspense or were they excited? Again, we are not told but
we know our hearts and minds at times and these men were very like each of us in
very many ways. Seven weeks after Passover, following the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead, 120 disciples of Jesus, along with thousands of Jews from
all over the Middle East, are in the Temple area in Jerusalem. The disciples
have been waiting for 'something' to happen, but they do not know what, and they
are not sure when. They did not think it would be on that day. fin dieThe risen ascended Jesus pours
out the Holy Spirit, and all were so filled with God, that they overflowed at
the mouth, and began to praise God in languages they had never learned. We read
of this in Acts Chapter 2, and this profound and powerful spiritual experience
can still be experienced today. Make no mistake about that. sanitary
valvesAs we read and study the record, there is no mention of feelings or
emotions. However, the onlookers respond differently, and react with
bewilderment, excitement, and even ridicule, suggesting the disciples were
drunk. |
